Hayley stopped walking and listened to him. She sighed and turned towards him. “we don’t have to talk about it. i’m sorry.” she said running a hand through her hair. she still felt uncomfortable, wondering why things were the way they were between them. “it’s all my fault.” she said looking away and covering her face. she wanted to be anywhere but there once again.

Chris shook his head and walked over to where she was. “No, I’m sorry. If you want to talk about it, then let’s talk about.” He told her. “What’s all your fault?” He asked, confused, hating himself for not knowing what she was talking about. “I’m sorry. I’m clueless. You don’t have to deny that or tell me I’m not. Because other people have already told me that I am. And I know it’s true.” He whispered, secretly hoping she didn’t hear him.
